STAGE DOOR CONSERVATORY
Offers four popular summer camp programs in musical theater and the performing arts to children in the 3rd through graduating 12th grade. Based in Berkeley, our programs are in close proximity to Albany, Richmond, Oakland, Piedmont, Alameda and other East Bay and Contra Costa communities. Acclaimed artistically, our day camps provide an enriched, supportive and often profoundly memorable experience for children interested in developing and expressing themselves as young actors and theater artists.

YOUR HELP IS NEEDED: A SPECIAL APPEAL TO OUR FRIENDS


As parents, I am sure we have similar hopes and wishes for our children’s lives …. that they will grow older, confident that they are loved, accepting their vulnerabilities, assured of their strengths, with a strong sense of self, the resilience to endure the inevitable assaults to their self-esteem that are a expected part of growing older and the capacity to express their inherent uniqueness in the world.

It’s a lot to wish - but how could we not want these experiences for our child - knowing how confidence, self-acceptance and esteem can help any child in navigating their lives - so they not only survive, but thrive? Fortunately, in addition to the nurturing and guidance we can provide in our day to day lives, there are organizations - like Stage Door Conservatory - that can help!

The performing arts provide many opportunities for children to express themselves, participate in the exciting processes of learning and creating, and develop a sense of themselves as contributing members of a community. The benefits of these kinds of experiences are profound … both in terms of the artistic training and opportunities for personal development they provide.

This year, we are extending an invitation to the members of our community to support our organization’s inaugural “Circle of Support” Fund or as alternatives, to contribute goods or services or sponsor one of our productions! There are many reasons why we ask, including a need to strengthen our organizational financially, but most importantly the perpetuation and further development of our program for the nearly 200 children we serve each year.

Please help us sustain our programs by responding affirmatively to this invitation if you can and become part of the special “Circle of Support” of friends and family who have joined us as our partners. Your gift will be appreciated tremendously, and be an investment, not only in our organization, but the livelihood of children in our community.
